Update 11 days post op

Hi everyone,

Mom wanted me to update you on whats been happening to me since we see so many of my peeps going through the same thing i did.
Its day 11, post op and I “officially” pee’d on a fence while hiking my right leg. Ok, i did lean a tiny bit on the fence but not much. Mom was so happy i thought she was gonna tinkle herself.

I had to go back to the Dr. Yesterday cuz i started developing sores. Doc said my skin has allergies and I just needed a bath. Ugh. But, i did feel so much better. Staples come out Friday, Yeah! I also have lost some weight, which is really hard for us pugs.

I have also ran a couple times. Sometimes my legs go so fast, it scares me and i stumble but i haven’t done a true face plant since day 2. Ya outta see Mom snd Dad running after me, funny, really funny.

If you’re reading this, you need to know the following:
1. You will be normal again but give it time.
2. Mom and Dad, i’ll be ok cuz I have you. Together we are strong.
3. One day at a time

Thats it. Simple huh.

Hang in there my friends, will talk soon.
Romeo the Pug

Wow, Already been a Week…

7 days post Surgery-Wish my Mom would stop taking pics!
IIt’s already been a week since my surgery. It has been tougher than I thought. Romeo isa great patient but now, his desire to be normal Iis causing him some delays in healing due toswelling. Nobody got any sleep the first 2 nights but then I got a good one.
My mom is obsessed with journaling this adventure. I never have liked pics of my bad side, yep, the left. But, it keeps her happy so I do it. Hope my next seven continue to get better. I am sodone with swelling, I just want to lay down on my left side. See ya later peeps!

The Beginning …

Today I am having my front left leg amputated because of an aggressive cancer called Hemangiopericytoma. I am scared but my Mom and Dad say I will be okay.  They call me SuperPug so today, I will try to be super strong.  I will have to go on a diet which is hard for me but Mom said “We are ALL going on the same diet”. She will help me for sure. I like my doctors and nurses.  Nurse Jeanna is my BFF, she is so nice.  I gotta go for now, headed to surgery.  If anyone reads this and can give ANY advice to Mom and Dad, please do.  I think they are scared too but are being SuperParents when around me.  Thanks for reading, see you soon (in pictures). God Bless each of you, my new Puggy friends!
